"Terapanth Gyanshala" is a major part of the Terapanth Community which has been mentoring children of the terapanth society grooming them with moral and spiritual values to shape them into respectful, caring and responsible citizens of the society and the nation as a whole.
"Gyanshala" is an integral name in the community today which was dreamt by and its foundation was seeded by Acharya Shri Tulsi in the year 1965.
He was a visionary and the divine soul realised the importance to implement religious & spiritual knowledge in the beginning years of an individuals life. His perspective and visions were shaped into reality with the divine blessing of Acharya Shri Mahapragyaji and since then “Gyanshala” has been progressing successfully with constant encouragement, timely guidance and blessings of Acharya Shri Mahashramanji along with the hardwork and efforts of the community Shravaks.
Terapanth Gyanshala has taken the form of a mission spread across 23 states 470 regions of the country of which Bangalore been one of the major regions. Presently (year 2021) there are 32 area wise gyanshalas in Bangalore with 180 teachers (prashishika’s) imparting realistic valuable knowledge to more than 1000 students (gyanarthi’s).
It’s a matter of pride for the terapanth community, since its induction the GYANSHALA has become a huge family spread with 470 gyanshalas, 17872 gyanarthis, 2978 prashikshikas and 7932 aspiring gyanarthis. In 2017 Bangalore Gyanshala added another feather to its cap by celebrating “RAJAT JAYANTI VARSH’ by conducting many activities for the children.
Que1. What is e-gyanshala?
Ans1. E-gyanshala is a computer based learning program which will help the child by providing the core syllabus and also reinforce and revise all the topics of shishu sanskar at home in a different way. It will also have some additional topics. E-Gyanshala has been designed in such a way that the child feels interested by the innovative method of adaptive and progressive learnings.
Que2. How is e-gyanshala unique?
Ans2. Most of the e-learning programs are based on the ICSC, CBSC, science, maths etc syllabuses and focuses on academic excellence. But E-Gyanshala focuses on moral principles, fundamentals, ethics, values such as patience, equanimity, modesty, truth etc. and helps a child overcome fear, greed, anger, ego etc which prepare the child for life in a holistic way. It helps a child in overall development.

Ans4. It is white kurta & pyjama for boys and white kurti & pyjama with gyanshala dupatta for girls.
Que5. Where are the classes of gyanshala held? How many classes are held in a week ?
Ans5. The classes of gyanshala are held area wise and the details can be taken from the coordinator of that area (phone numbers of coordinator are mentioned in contacts page). The classes are organized once a week either on Saturday or Sunday and the teachers aim at organizing almost 40 classes per year.
Que6. How will a child access e-gyanshala? How can the child take the test?
Ans6. Every child will be assigned a unique ID & password by the respective area teacher which will enable the child to take the test in e-gyanshala. The child can access the website any number of times and can answer any number of questions.
Que7. How will champ of the week, winner of the month & gyanarthi of the year be selected?
Ans7. The child who has given the maximum correct answers by every week on Friday would be selected champ of the week, the child with the maximum correct answers by the 4th Friday of the month would be selected as winner of the month and the child with the maximum right answers by 31st December would be selected gyanarthi of the year
